To install the translation into the game:

• []Extract the archive;

  []Copy both "American" and "American.dir" files;

  []Open your Bully game folder, then go to:

  Config > Text > and paste both files here.

Congrats, your game is now in Romanian.

Please read this to understand a few things about the translation:

The translation took around 2–3 weeks to finish, with 5–10 hours of work per day, depending on whether I had work that day or not.

It was done mostly with ChatGPT, since the amount of text is massive - translating every single line manually would have taken 4x longer.

So I translated large chunks at once and corrected mistakes afterwards. That’s why you might find a few small errors here and there - I simply didn’t catch all of them.

But I’m constantly fixing the text while replaying the game and watching gameplay footage.

Sometimes ChatGPT acted up and randomly added Romanian diacritics (ă, î, ș etc.), so I might have missed a few,

and you may see strange symbols in subtitles – this happens because the game’s font doesn’t support Romanian diacritics.

There are also some sentences that don’t really have a perfect Romanian equivalent, so I wrote what I thought fits best.

Later on, I sometimes felt it sounded weird and went back to re-edit it.

In certain parts of the game, the translation may sound weird because you can’t always tell the context. For example:

"Hey, what are you doing?"

If the line is said to a group, it should be "Hei, ce faceți?"

But if it’s said to one person, it should be "Hei, ce faci?"

Sometimes I replaced these with "Hei, care e treaba?" to keep it neutral - but even that doesn’t work in all cases.

The mod is only public to download on Nexusmods.com, so if you find it being sold online - it’s a scam! The translation is free.

Iti multumesc ca ai ales sa folosesti traducerea mea!

Daca filmezi gameplay cu ea, da-mi un tag in videoclip! :)

Cum instalezi traducerea in joc:

• []Dezarhiveaza arhiva;

  []Copiaza fisierele „American” si „American.dir”;

  []Intra in folderul jocului Bully, apoi mergi la:

  Config > Text > si da Paste la cele doua fisiere acolo.

Gata! Acum ai jocul in limba romana.

Te rog citeste si urmatoarele detalii despre traducere:

Traducerea a durat aproximativ 2–3 saptamani, lucrand zilnic intre 5–10 ore, in functie daca lucram sau nu in ziua respectiva.

A fost facuta in mare parte cu ajutorul ChatGPT, pentru ca volumul de text e urias – daca traduceam fiecare replica manual, mi-ar fi luat de 4 ori mai mult.

Am tradus bucati mari de text si apoi corectam greselile. Din acest motiv s-ar putea sa mai gasesti cate o greseala ici-colo – pur si simplu nu le-am observat pe toate.

Dar corectez constant textul rejucand jocul si uitandu-ma la gameplay-uri.

Uneori ChatGPT mai facea figuri si introducea diacritice random (ă, î, ș etc.), asa ca e posibil sa fi ratat cateva,

iar in joc s-ar putea sa vezi simboluri ciudate in subtitrari – se intampla pentru ca fontul jocului nu suporta diacriticele romanesti.

Exista si replici care nu pot fi traduse perfect in romana, asa ca am scris ce mi s-a parut ca se potriveste cel mai bine.

Mai tarziu, uneori mi se parea ca suna aiurea si reveneam sa le modific.

In unele parti ale jocului, traducerea poate parea ciudata pentru ca nu iti poti da seama mereu de context. De exemplu:

"Hey, what are you doing?"

Daca replica e adresata unui grup, ar trebui sa fie "Hei, ce faceti?"

Daca e catre o singura persoana, e "Hei, ce faci?"

Uneori am pus "Hei, care e treaba?" ca sa ramana neutru - dar nici asta nu merge mereu.
