Loan Maniac adds a high-risk debt-based character to Brotato. This character can buy items, reroll the shop, and reroll level-up upgrades even when they do not have enough materials, allowing their material count to drop below zero. Debt makes them stronger, but also more fragile: every 10 materials of debt increases Damage and Speed, while reducing Max HP, Armor, and Dodge. Each debt stack also increases the chance to instantly die when hit, up to 99. 99%. Positive materials are not free either. For every 10 materials you keep above zero, Loan Maniac loses Speed, encouraging you to stay in debt and push your luck. Borrow hard. Scale fast. Try not to get collected.
