📋 About This Mod
Additional Tweaks/Optimizations, to increase performance (improve stability, reduce latency, and achieve smoother frame pacing) in this very demanding and un-optimized new UE5 Title as it was already predicted!^^
Hello everyone!
Motivation needed?
TESTRESULTS HERE!
As you know, I’m very focused on optimizations, and in this post I’d like to offer you, in addition to P40L0X’s Engine.ini, some optional ways to squeeze every last bit of performance out of your system!
Changes of P40L0X Engine.ini "v2":
PoolSizeVRAMPercentage=50
(included in my modified Engine.ini)
When using a 100% VRAM rBAR (Resizable BAR) setting (that you will setup by following the:
“PC Gaming: Optimized - The Ultimate Guide (including NVIDIA/AMD CP + G-Sync/Freesync + HDR Best Settings)” Guide by P40L0X)
in combination with a UE5 Engine.ini definition that sets TextureStreaming PoolSize to 70%, potential issues can arise due to how VRAM is allocated and managed.
With rBAR set to 100% of your VRAM, the CPU can directly address the entire GPU memory space.
While this can improve asset streaming in some cases, it also means that the game engine and driver have no inherent buffer — all
VRAM is “visible” and can be filled quickly.
If UE5 is then instructed to reserve 70% of that total VRAM exclusively for the texture streaming pool, the remaining 30% must handle all other GPU tasks: frame buffers, post-processing, ray tracing data, geometry buffers (Nanite), compute workloads (DLSS, physics), and more.
In demanding scenes, this can lead to VRAM overcommitment, texture eviction/reloading, and microstuttering.
By contrast, setting both the rBAR Size Limit to 25% and the TextureStreamingPoolSize to 50% of available VRAM creates a more balanced allocation.
For example, on a 24 GB GPU:
- rBAR Size Limit = 6 GB
- TextureStreaming PoolSize = 50% (≈ 12 GB)
This approach ensures:
1) A dedicated, predictable amount of VRAM for texture streaming without
starving other GPU subsystems.
2) A smaller rBAR window, which can reduce PCIe overhead and improve latency in
some workloads.
3) A built-in safety margin that helps prevent VRAM overflows and the resulting
4) Better cross-game stability, as not all engines benefit from exposing the
full VRAM range to the CPU.
The exact percentages can be adjusted based on the GPU’s total VRAM. High-VRAM cards (e.g., 24 GB or 32 GB) can afford larger pools, while lower-VRAM cards benefit from more conservative allocations to maintain headroom for non-texture GPU tasks.
I will return to this topic in this Guide.

Damn, it will be much that I have to pull you through, but keep in mind, that post is as exhausting by creating, as it is to apply step-by-step on your system.

Purpose:
A detailed performance optimization guide for Borderlands 4, focusing on system maintenance, driver/game tweaks, and registry adjustments to improve stability, reduce latency, and achieve smoother frame pacing.
Main Points:
1. System Health Checks:
- Use SFC and DISM commands to repair Windows system files.
- Keep drivers and applications updated (e.g., via winget).
2. NVIDIA Driver Debloating:
- Disable/remove unused services and components (Ansel, telemetry, ShadowPlay, MPO).
- Use tools like DDU and MSI Mode Utility for clean driver setup.
3. NVIDIA Profile Inspector Tweaks:
- Configure DLSS/FSR, anti-aliasing, sync/refresh settings.
- Set texture filtering to high performance.
- Enable Resizable BAR (rBAR) with recommended size limits per VRAM capacity.
- Adjust Shader Cache Size based on game resolution (1080p to 8K).
4. Batch Script "GamesTweaker":
- Automates registry entries per game .exe to set CPU, I/O, page priority, CPU affinity, and SFIO priority.
- Includes instructions for reverting these
