📋 About This Mod
Vex New Game+:- Starting Point: (UVHM 1), Level 30, prologue with Arjay prison escape.- Playtime: 0 minutes (fresh start).- Currency: $606,185.- Gear: Random Epic weapons/Items, 1 shield, 1 class mod, 1 grenade mod, 1 Repkit (no
I ended up creating a new (VEX) character on UVHM 1 at level 30.
This time, all (campaigns/side/challenge" missions) are unfinished, so you’ll start right at the point where you meet Arjay and he breaks you out of prison during the prologue.
From there, you can enjoy the full story mode again without the replay option, redoing all missions from the beginning.
Playtime is currently 0 minutes.
What’s included?
-
[]Currency: $606,185
[
]Eridium: 3,729[]Ammo: Default values remain unchanged
[]Gear: Random (epic) weapons, 1 shield, 1 class mod, 1 grenade mod, 1 Repkit - (no enhancements).
Specialization Points: Set to 595 at level 1. This should give you more flexibility early on.
SDU: Increased from 80 to 475. Nothing has been upgraded or spent—you can handle that on your own.
Challenges: Reset to 0% so you can start fresh and complete everything again.
- UVHM Too Hard?
Reminder: this is experimental, showing how a NEW GAME PLUS could be designed.
You can turn this off if you like. UVHM is intentionally more challenging for players seeking a harder playthrough.
You can turn it back on later once you have better gear. If you see an icon with a (caution triangle), it means the enemies are slightly higher level than you—usually +2 or +3 levels. Gearbox designed this mode this way to make the challenge greater.
However, if you want to avoid this increased difficulty, you can turn it off and simply set the game to Normal or Hard to enjoy the main missions at a more manageable level.
NOTICE: Before downloading and testing the file, you must have completed the main game with at least one character. The (specializations) do not appear for players who have never finished the game using the new game plus save. So you need to complete the main game for the specializations to be visible; otherwise, they will not show up.
Recommended: for transferring saves.
Works with both Steam and Epic Games (Saves). I suggest using this tool to transfer saves and convert:
- (Filename.yaml)
files into save files etc. Just follow the description provided by the mod author:
https://www.nexusmods.com/borderlands4/mods/38
- Also, remember to rename the:
.yaml file to something like:2.yaml or 3.yaml
(any different number etc). Once that’s done, use the converting/encryption tool I mentioned.
After conversion, you can place your save game file in the following location:
Documents\My Games\Borderlands 4\Saved\SaveGames\b9082b2fe70e40b6afd61ca8f03fc575\Profiles\client
- But why do it all again?
Well, I felt like Gearbox and the developers should have added a "New Game Plus" option, so we could redo the missions "Instead of Reply option we get in bl4"—mostly the story mode—with new dialogue, like what they did in (The Pre-Sequel). Only a small bit of dialogue was changed with Tiny Tina and Brick when they interrupted or commented.
So yeah, I feel like they should have added new dialogue and options for players to enjoy a New Game Plus.
I did enjoy the story mode in BL4. I especially liked how the characters speak their minds about everything—it’s really something new compared to the previous Borderlands games. Now, I hope players can enjoy the story without having to make a "level 1 character" with almost no gear, or a "level 30 character" on UVHM with minimal gear and little to do besides explore.
After all, Randy Pitchford said: "Borderlands 4 is a premium game made for premium gamers."
SO I think we deserve a better "New Game Plus".
This is just a simulated save game file showing how Borderlands 4 could implement a New Game Plus feature, with improved starting gear that is randomly generated. The system could provide either Epic or Legendary loot, but I think Epic is better. If Legendary loot were included, players would likely exploit it for farming. Therefore, Epic may be the ideal choice for randomly generated gear spawns with better improvements.
