1. What is BL4MR?
Borderlands 4 Music Replacer replaces Borderlands 4's music with selected tracks from Borderlands 2.
The goal is not to swap every single song from BL4 with the ones from BL2 - Borderlands 4 keeps its core identity during key moments and major bosses, etc. You may choose to use the preselected recommended soundtrack preset, handpicked by me - or customize any of the choices on your own.
The mod reads the music from your own Borderlands 2 installation, processes everything locally on your PC, builds a Borderlands 4 mod package and installs it for you. It does NOT include, ship or redistribute copyrighted Borderlands music files. Your original BL4 & BL2 files are never modified.

3. Requirements
1. A legitimate game copy of both Borderlands 4 & Borderlands 2, installed locally.
2. Both Microsoft Visual C++ x64 Runtime & . NET 10 Desktop Runtime installed.
3. Roughly 5GB of extra disk space during installation & ~1. 5GB for the created Cache after the installation.

Borderlands 2 DLC is optional.
If a Recommended track comes from BL2 DLC you do not have installed, BL4MR automatically uses a verified base-game fallback and shows the substituted track in the Soundtrack screen.5. Borderlands 4 DLC is optional. It is only needed if you want BL4MR to replace music in those DLC areas/content.
4. Installation
1. Download and extract the ZIP somewhere on your PC.
2. Run BL4MusicReplacer.exe and follow the installer instructions.
3. Customize as much or as little as you want in the preset screen, then click install.
4. Be patient, even if the installer looks stuck. Building the mod PAK locally is a heavy task.
5. That's it - Once the install finishes you simply launch Borderlands 4 normally.
