Auto Open Containers

Walk past a container and it opens itself.

Optionally, ammo you're short on, Cash and Eridium come straight to you.

• []Auto-opens nearby containers: lockers, toolboxes, ammo chests, strongboxes, trash piles, boxes and the rest. It uses the same request the game sends when you press Use, so the game's own rules still apply: anything you couldn't open by hand stays shut.

  []Leaves the special ones alone: golden chests and the Lost Loot machine are never opened by the mod.

  []Pull Ammo (optional): teleports ammo pickups onto you, but only for ammo types you're actually short on.

  []Pull Money & Eridium (optional): teleports nearby Cash and Eridium to you.

  []No vacuum spam: each pickup is pulled once.

  []Lightweight-ish: When the chunk you are in is being scanned, there is a minor frame hit (on my PC the scans take ~10ms on average)

  All options are in the mod's settings in the SDK mods menu and are saved as soon as you change them.

  • []Radius (default 400 = 4 m, range 1–15 m): how close a container must be to open.

    []Pull Ammo To Me (default: off): pull ammo of the types you're below max on.

    []Pull Money & Eridium To Me (default: off): pull cash and eridium.

    []Pull Radius (default 1500 = 15 m, range 2–50 m): how far the pull options reach.

    []Log Activity (default: off): writes every open attempt, skipped locked container and rescan to the SDK log. First opens and every pull are always logged.[/]

    Installation

    •  []Install the Python SDK.

      []Drop AutoOpenContainers.sdkmod into your sdk_mods folder (Borderlands 4\sdk_mods).

      []Launch the game and enable Auto Open Containers in the mods menu.
