handsome reshade

download reshade with full addon support from Reshade.me, run setup and install

extract the reshade zip to your game directory and replace all (does not replaces game files, only existing reshade files)

for borderlands, you may need to reapply the dxvk fix if you are using it

you can now run the game, the first time you load in, it may take a couple minutes for the effects to load, this only happens once

"U" to open overlay

"O" to toggle effects

"i" to reload effects

i chose these keybinds for mini keyboards, you can change the keybinds in the overlay settings

you may have to click the blue bar in the reshade menu that says "Reshadepreset" and change it to "AMV2" this is how you swap presets if you have multiple

use "clean menus" preset to fix menus, if you like the fog and blur but want to avoid blurry menus, you can make the keybind to toggle effects the same as your inventory key, now whenever you open your inventory the effects are toggled off, vice versa. you can change keybinds in the overlay settings

toggling "performance mode" at the bottom of the overlay may help with performance but i've personally never been able to see a difference

keep an eye on gpu usage, consider tweaking settings or capping fps if it gets too high

there are 3 instances of mxao, one has very short range and only affects weapons while in first person, one is used as a sort of mesh blend and the other is used to fake big shadows, this has the potential to tank performance on older hardware and i dont recommend doing this in newer games
