📋 About This Mod
A BoneLab mod to make combat fun again And the mod introduces NPCs speed so they will creep up upon you during combat and NPC Deletion!
Advanced Combat is an AI enhancement suite for BONELAB Patch 6 (PCVR/MelonLoader). It introduces "Adaptive Behavior," allowing NPCs to intelligently respond to your line of sight.
Key Features
-
[]Adaptive AI Behavior: When you look at an enemy, they maintain a standard combat rhythm. When they are out of your view, they become proactive and close the distance.[/]
[]Arena Utility: Use Auto-Despawn in the BoneMenu to keep the arena floor clean.[/]
[]Warning: This is intended for manual NPC wave spawning. Using this in official Arena game modes may interfere with round completion triggers. Use at your own risk.[/]
For Mod Developers
To ensure your custom NPCs are compatible with Advanced Combat, your implementation must utilize the standard Unity NavMeshAgent component.
-
[]Integration Requirements: The
NavMeshAgentmust be accessible via
GetComponentInChildren<NavMeshAgent>().[/
][]Conflict Warning: Do not hardcode movement speeds or override
agent.speed / agent.accelerationin your own scripts, as this will conflict with our injection logic.[/]
-
[]Q: Does this work with Fusion (Multiplayer)? A: Unknown. I am a solo developer and cannot test this in multiplayer environments. If you choose to test it, please report your findings to the official support channel.[/]
[]Q: Is this compatible with Quest? A: This mod was built for PCVR using MelonLoader. Functionality on other loaders (like LemonLoader) is not guaranteed.[/]
[]Q: Is this compatible with other mods? A: Conflicts may occur with any mod that modifies NPC movement speeds, forces specific AI behavior, or handles object pooling/cleanup.[/]
[]Q: Will you patch issue? A: I prioritize game-breaking bugs. Minor quirks or compatibility issues with specific NPC mods may remain as-is depending on the complexity of the conflict.[/]
Development & Transparency
About the Code: I am a solo developer primarily experienced in Python and Bash. To bridge the gap into C# and the BONELAB modding environment, I utilized AI as a collaborator for syntax structure and resolving complex compilation errors. The core logic and architectural decisions remain my own, refined through this collaborative process.
Source code available: This project is completely open source under GPLv3. If you want to contribute code, please feel free to do it on this official repository. Codeberg
