The exorbitant cost of Alakhest takes the fun out of crafting -- less than 25% of players have broken down 10+ items.

This mod aims to fix that.

Reduced Breakdown Costs

All items cost half the original Alkahest cost to dismantle. This is rounded down (so 9 becomes 4).

New Recipe: Alkahest

  []Makes: Alkahest x10

  These are very common early drops (5% drops from Bat and Bone Morte). They're rarely used, so this may have been an originally intended recipe.

  Balanced Recipes

  These recipes have reduced ingredient costs.

  Gold:

  • []Before: Mercury x50, Dark Matter x10

    []After: Mercury x10, Dark Matter x2

    Reason: You're a powerful shardbinder and a natural alchemist. You don't need to buy Gold.

    Alchemic Bounty:

    • []Before: Silver x9 (ranks 2, 3, 4), Gold x9 (ranks 4, 5, 6)

      []After: Silver x4 (ranks 2, 3, 4), Gold x4 (ranks 4, 5, 6)

      Reason: Ranks 4-6 took 27 Gold, which would cost 405,000g in the shop. This is way too much, even if the shard is OP.

      Exquisite Steak:

      • []Before: Flying Beef x2

        []After: Flying Beef x1

        Reason: Drop rate for Flying Beef is too low (1% from Haagenti).

        Invisible Blade:

        • []Before: Ectoplasm x9, Mercury x5

          []After: Ectoplasm x4, Mercury x3

          Reason: This is a cool weapon that's overshadowed by costs too high for its damage class.

          Apple Risotto:

          • []Before: Apple x3

            []After: Apple x1

            Reason: Apple Risottos (+320 HP) shouldn't need more apples than Apple Pies (+370 HP).

            Changed Recipes

            This recipes have altered ingredients.

            Dark Matter:

            • []Before: Witch's Tears x1

              []After: Queen's Tears x1

              Reason: Dark Matter is cheap to buy once you've made it, but Witch's Tears is a 1% drop from Cyhyraeth. This meant farming was basically mandatory. The new recipe uses Queen's Tears, which drops from Tamako-Death (5%) and Lamashtu (6%).

                This file affects: Crafting recipes including quantities, first time food bonuses, which items can be crafted/broken down, crafting unlock requirements (eg, Ramen/R), and the min/max rank of shards.
