📋 About This Mod
QCB aims to separates out the controller binds of Sprinting and Jumping onto L3 and X, respectively. Rolling/Dodging remain on Circle, resulting in more precision and choice when selecting movement.
Foreword: This mod could not have been possible had it not been for Press X to Jump and Jump on L3. Please support those two as they wrote the original code which I managed to merge together into a combined version.
Aim of QCB:
This mod aims to separates out the controller binds of Sprinting and Jumping onto L3 and X, respectively. Rolling/Dodging remain on Circle, resulting in more precision and choice when selecting movement.
Movement Changes:
-
[]Sprint has been moved to L3 and changed into a toggle switch.
[
]Jump has been moved to X and will only activate while sprinting.[]Roll/Dodge remains on the original bind of Circle. Note that run can still be activated after a Roll/Dodge by holding circle.
[]Jump Attacks are enabled in two ways:
- 1. While holding X during any movement stage and pressing R1.
- 2. Holding R1 during sprint stage and pressing X.
Ladder Changes:
-
[]Holding L3 will allow you to ascend or descend on a ladder quickly.
[
]Release from Ladders has been added to the Circle button and will only activate when idle._vQYMpVIQYs
Known Issues:
During item pickup, if the confirmation window is still active and the player is sprinting, pressing X will cause the character to jump. Walking and Idle stages will not activate the accidental jump. Item box confirmation seems to be in the game code itself rather than the movement files.
This mod alters the file c0000.hks which controls aspects such as movements, attacks, weapon states. Any other mod that adjusts the same file will not work correctly with this mod. I recommend using a launcher like BB Launcher to ensure a smooth installation.
