Mouse-Driven Camera Movement for Bloodborne

Overview

The current main build of the shadPS4 emulator does not support the ability to control your camera with a mouse. This Python script solves this by using a module to translate mouse deltas into analog stick movements, which will then be picked up by the shadPS4 emulator

  Installation

  • []Download the mod and extract the .zip file

    []In the mod's directory, open the terminal. Make sure the terminal is opened to the mod directory rather than to your computer's root directory.

    []Run the following command:

    pip install -r requirements.txt # This will recursively install required python modules required for the main script

    []Any time you want to start the emulator, run the following command in the mod directory:

    python3 main.py

    []It's highly recommended that you increase the in-game sensitivity to its maximum value. There is a sensitivity variable in the python script, but the drivers for PS4 controllers that the game uses clamps inputs to values between -128 and 128, so increasing the in game sensitivity is preferable over tweaking the Python script.

  • To exit the emulator, use the hotkey CTRL+Q. To toggle it on and off without exiting it, use CTRL+T.

    Note that this mod will lock your cursor in place while it's enabled to prevent it from hitting the edge of the screen. You may need to Alt+Tab into Bloodborne if it's already open, or toggle the emulator off to open it if you haven't already.
