Bloodborne Mouse Camera Control

Native-style mouse camera control for Bloodborne v1. 09 running under shadPS4.

Move the mouse and the camera follows, the way it does in a PC game. No controller emulation, no right-stick mapping: BBMCC drives the game's own camera angles directly.

Features

• []Mouse-driven camera: pitch and yaw straight from the mouse, with adjustable sensitivity, pitch limits and axis inversion.

  []Lock-on works normally: a quick flick of the mouse switches target, and the camera reset / lock-on key keeps working.

  []The Monocular works: look around through it with the mouse.

  []FOV override: set the real field of view in degrees, from 20 to 340 (the game's own is 43).

  []Several shadPS4 instances at once: each one is controlled independently.

  []Automatic injection: start the game and BBMCC attaches by itself. If shadPS4 runs as administrator, BBMCC asks for the same rights.

  []Rebindable keys: every action can be rebound in the GUI. The on/off toggles and the FOV and sensitivity steps work as hotkeys both in-game and in the BBMCC window.

  []Settings are saved to an INI file you can also edit by hand.

  Tested with Bloodborne Complete (USA) and GOTY (EU), on shadPS4 v0. 16. 0, v0. 17. 0, v0. 18. 0 and v0. 18. 1 (pre-release / nightly), with common shadPS4 game patches enabled.

  Setup

  • []Download the file, unzip it anywhere and run BBMCC.exe. There is nothing to install.

    []In shadPS4, check two keyboard binds (BBMCC's defaults are listed below):

    - the right stick must be bound to the same four keys as BBMCC's Flick binds;

    - R3 must be bound to the same key as BBMCC's Camera Reset bind.

    []Start shadPS4 and boot Bloodborne. BBMCC injects by itself, or press Inject.

    []Press F1 in-game to turn the mouse camera on or off.

    Default binds

    • []Mouse camera on / off: F1

      []FOV override on / off: ` (the key left of 1)

      []FOV - / +: Scroll Up / Scroll Down

      []Sensitivity - / +: - / =

      []Camera Reset (must match shadPS4's R3): Q, and Middle Mouse

      []Flick Left / Right / Up / Down (must match shadPS4's right stick): J / L / I / K

    Left-click a bind in the GUI to change it, right-click to clear it. The settings file is %APPDATA%\BBMCC\BBMCC.ini

    Good to know

    • []Antivirus. Some antivirus products may flag BBMCC.exe. It works by mapping a DLL into another process (shadPS4), and that technique looks the same to a scanner whatever it is used for. The full source is available, so you can read it and build it yourself: GitHub. BBMCC only touches processes named shadPS4.exe and makes no network connections.

      []Administrator prompt. BBMCC only asks for administrator rights when shadPS4 itself is running as administrator. If you decline, "Inject automatically" switches itself off, so it will not keep asking; tick it again, or press Inject, to be asked again.

      []FOV. The number is the real field of view while the game's own FOV is its default 43. From 180 up, the image flips upside down.

      []Updating BBMCC. Restart shadPS4 before using a new version of BBMCC with a game that an older version was injected into.

      If injection fails

      BBMCC shows "Injection failed" without a reason. The usual causes, most likely first:

      • []The game is not v1. 09.

        []The game has not finished booting yet. Wait for the title screen and press Inject.

        []An older BBMCC was injected into this shadPS4 session. Restart shadPS4.

        []A game patch that rewrites the camera's FOV code is enabled. Turn it off and use BBMCC's FOV override instead.
