The Hypaspistai of Macedon
The Hypaspists were the elite infantry of the Macedonian army under Philip II and Alexander the Great. Unlike regular phalangites, they fought as traditional hoplites, carrying large aspis shields, the doru spear, a kopis or xiphos, and wearing heavy bronze armor. In battle, they guarded the vulnerable flanks of the phalanx, as their equipment gave them greater agility than the sarissa-armed phalangites. During Alexander's Indian campaign, the Hypaspists evolved into the famed Argyraspides, the Silver Shields.
This mod is compatible with Crystal Hunt, and will be available in the shop after a certain amount of progress into the story. The weapons are also integrated into survival mode.
