📋 About This Mod
PCVR version | Nomad version
Better Movement
This mod is a collection of improvements to the movement in this game. It includes:
- Fake crouching: Using down and up of your turn thumbstick you can crouch and stand back up akin to Boneworks (Now in base game)
- Physical jumping: You can jump by swinging your arms in the air like in Stride. The faster the higher + you can turn off stick up jumping
- Hip-based movement: If you have a hip-tracker you can move based on where your hip is pointing rather than your head/controller
- Crouching: Disable crouching, togglable crouching (Now in base game), changing crouching walk speed as well as how quickly you crouch
- Tunnel Vision skill (Mind T1): when attacking an enemy you will lock on them and your movement and gaze will be based on the enemy's position (using the turn stick will change target based on distance)
Installation
Can be installed like any other mod using a mod manager.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid endorsement count (120) shows players dig it
- Over 8,000 downloads means it's been tried by a decent chunk of the community
- Touches three core movement aspects – jumping, crouching, lock-on – so you get a bundle of improvements
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in October 2025, so it might not be compatible with the latest game patches
- No mention of compatibility with other movement mods, so you might run into conflicts if you stack them
- Small mod with a niche focus – if you're not into tweaking movement, this won't change much else
For players who want more fluid and tactical movement – being able to jump, crouch, and lock on adds depth to combat and exploration. If you're a purist who prefers vanilla mechanics, you can skip this one.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Check if your game version matches the mod's target (1.1) to avoid crashes
- If you use other gameplay mods, test them together to ensure no conflicts
- Try the lock-on feature in combat – it can change how you approach fights
