Recruit Level Bonus

Losing a bro is part and parcel of this game. But don't you find it annoying now you have to level a new recruit from scratch? Or perhaps babysitting new recruit for xp is getting old to you? Me too, so realism and balance be damned.

Now for every 50 in-game days that passed, a bro that is recruited from town and event will gain 1 level. Caps at day 300 and 6 levels.

This level-ups is different from the level-ups given by the game for certain combat backgrounds, and they both stacks. But they are still capped up to veteran level values (up to level 11, 10 perk points granted).

For example, a Hedge Knight's starting level is randomized between level 2 - 5. With this mod, the level range becomes 8 - 11 by day 300.

Meanwhile many non-combat or common backgrounds will start at level 6 by day 300.

If needed, just edit this line which indicates how many days/level cap this mod uses

local bonus = ::Math.min(day / 50, 6)

This mod should work fine on old/current save. I don't use any major overhaul mods like Legends or Reforged so idk if this mod is compatible with them. Note that I hadn't been able to test how every event bros interact with this mod so feedbacks are appreciated and hopefully nothing complicated happens.

Just drop the .zip file into your Battle Brothers/data folder.

Modern Hooks is required.
