Lone Wolf Seed Farm

Attention, UPD after "Blazing Deserts" and the new patch: the seed farm was created and the data was collected for 1. 3. 0. 25 without BD so now it's probably obsolete. I'm also not playing vanilla BB any longer so I don't have plans for updating. However, feel free to use my "log processor" code as well as the rework of JerekKruger code (if he doesn't mind) to update the mod / adapt it for other origins, but publish it as a separate mod and manage the database on your own. Thank you.

This "mod" - with JerekKruger's permission - is an extension of his Map Data Tool.

It's basically the same but also records LW's attributes and perks. Why LW? Because it's the most popular origin and the easiest one to collect data about.

Soooo... if you're interested in assembling a database of good LW seeds, then...

Using the "mod" (basically the same as the original one):

1) Drop the mod_dm_lw.zip file into /Data folder, then temporarily remove all other mods (just ctrl+x ctrl+v them somewhere else like in the main BB folder).

2) Launch the game, pick the lone wolf origin, don't edit the random seed the game offered and start the campaign (other settings don't matter).

3) The game will freeze so just alt+tab it and do something else while the script is farming seeds.

On my PC the game usually crashes after ~650 seeds (and the speed of farming is ~250 seeds per hour) but you don't have to wait and can close the game and then use task manager to kill the process earlier.

4) Right after that go to \Documents\Battle Brothers and copy/move the log.html file somewhere safe where it won't be overwritten the next time you start BB.

5) Send the file(s) to me to Mindeveler@gmail.com. Or upload them somewhere and post the link to the archive in this mod's discussion section.

Also you can extract the data from the log file yourself (but still send the file to me so we could have 1 big database). For that do the following:

As a Warband modder I use 2. 7.x version so I don't know how it's different from 3.x.x and if my script will work on 3.x.x versions. So if you don't care which version to install, install 2. 7.x.

1) Download log_processor.zip (it's an Optional File) and extract it somewhere.

2) Place all your logs (it doesn't matter what they're named, just make sure they're still .html and they don't have the same name so you don't accidentally overwrite them with each other) into the Logs folder.

3) Run process.bat.

4) In Excel use Data => Import to import the OUTP
