📋 About This Mod
/////Support Stop/////
This mod is discontinued since I have long since moved away from Battle
Brothers, and can't invest the time (, or in case of DLC even real
money) to simply keep the mods updated. Instead of deleting or hiding
it, I am leaving the mod in a permanent "As is" state, so future modders
can still find it, and look through the files to learn the manipulation
procedures, just like I have done before with formerly
dead/discontinued modding concepts in Battle Brothers too.
In this regard I encourage and allow everyone to use all the resources within and develop them further.
//////////
(28. 05. 19) Since patches wrecked the functionality of the mod on weekly basis, I've decided to make the Battle Saint an independent scenario. Now patches cannot overwrite anything anymore, though I don't like that it appears less elegant this way, - as a mere edited copy of the lone wolf.
Background/Inspiration:
After much time in Battle Brothers, I went to try the Lone Wolf Scenario, but the little description remark there, "Elite Few", sparked my imagination and got me off track. I started to dream of a game, where instead of fighting with a large group and much advised combined tactics, I would just have a small band of extreme specialists -each one different, each one a master of his and only his trade/style-(similar to the The 13th Warrior movie), who would try to best the battlefield pretty much individually, leaving teamwork completely behind. As such, it should be a game where I didn't have to hire any weak supplements, but only look for the best.
To facilitate this dream game, I saw that of course the main character and commander must be the best of them all - no less because he would have to survive by himself until I could actually purchase other high tier characters. I experimented with stat upgrades and after quite some deaths, had him successfully battle his way to level 13 in solo-mode, before starting to take in a squire. Due to his unmatched skill and ability to fight of waves of enemies on his own with his greatsword's mighty swing, I had him named and barbered a saint, - hence the title.
Though the changes are small, I thought that this modding may warrant making it public.
Mod Content:
(A soft cheat mod, that will still be challenging if you intentionally fight with little support)
The Lone Wolf now has 3 talent-stars in every area, and starts with an amazing (shield-like) bonus to melee- and ranged defense of 30, as well as the guaranteed Iron Lungs trait. But beware! He is still far from invulnerable, as multiple enemies still easily overwhelm him in the beginning. If you really try the solo-gameplay, use the battlefiel
