📋 About This Mod
Witches charmed half your dudes and hexed the other half?
This just changes the action point cost of Hex from 3 to 5, so hexen can no longer cast both Hex and Charm in the same round.
In practice this means Hexen usually cast charm on you until you get close, and then they cast Hex. That makes the fights have a similar feel, while being much more managable as the number of Hexen increase.
This mod for WotN makes each hexen either charm or hex, but not both in one turn. It's a small balance tweak with 116 endorsements and 3,483 downloads, last updated in June 2019. For players who find hexens too powerful, this adds a strategic limitation.

✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 116 endorsements and over 3,400 downloads.
- Simple, focused balance change that adds tactical depth.
- Compatible with WotN, so it fits into existing mod setups.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2019 — may not be compatible with the latest game version.
- Niche balance tweak that only affects hexen units, not broader gameplay.
For players who find hexens overpowered and want a more strategic challenge. Also for modders looking for a simple balance patch to include in their load order. Skip if you prefer unmodified hexen abilities or want more comprehensive balance changes.
