The preset adds richness to metallic surfaces and rocks, keeping the tone balanced and true to the original aesthetics. There’s a slight performance hit, but it’s optimized for efficiency. If needed, you can disable some effects or tweak settings to suit your preferences. this preset offers better detail and anti-aliasing aswell. I went into debug mode for it. I also recommend checking out Asylum 4K - REMASTERED 4K Cutscenes if this is your first modded install.

How to Install

Click the word reshade above this its a link. so is batman incase you dont own it. go there and download reshade. as this is not a online game you can experiment with the full add-on version however for simplicity if you are new I recommend using the one without full add ons. (NOTE BEFORE RUNNING RESHADE) when you run the installer if your game is unmodded it will be dx9 and youd go through and do the install when it shows all the effects is when you browse and select the file you download from here. I recommended however to use DXVK. this game uses dx9 so it will need the x32 folder copy the d3d9.dll down only one that SHOULD NOT be copied is d3d8. that will swap the game to vulkan. all you have to do is move those files to the binaries folder where the ShippingPC-BMGame is, that is also the file you hook reshade to. so if you installed reshade previously run the installer again and select vulkan. and select the file again just to make sure its good. uncheck all and recheck if you want all the effects preset. if not its fine as is to just click next unless youd like to tweak it further.

if you wish to uncap the frame rate open your game folder (Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY > BmGame > Config) open DefaultEngine.ini and edit MaxSmoothedFrameRate under  to a number your pc can sustain. I recommend 120 or 144.
