Arkham Asylum RFMOD Rebuilder

Description

Extracts and rebuilds RFMOD binary data for use with UPK Explorer.

Instructions

Step 1: Open the game folder or UPK file.

Step 2: Extract the binary data from an RFMOD object.

Step 3: Open Arkham Asylum RFMOD Rebuilder.exe and click extract . BIN, then select your .bin file you exported from UPK Explorer.

Step 4: You will now have a .fev and a .fsb file. NOTE: to extract and modify the FSB file, you will need a tool such as fsbext. A tutorial for that will not be provided here.

Step 5: Once you have replaced your sounds and rebuilt your FSB file, simply click "Rebuild .bin" in the Arkham Asylum RFMOD Rebuilder.exe and select the .fev file. It will combine .fev and .fsb files so long as they share the same file name.

Step 6: Now that you have rebuilt your .bin file, import it into the RFMOD object within UPK Explorer.

Step 7: Save package or create game patch within UPK Explorer.

Main features

Separates and rebuilds .fev and .fsb files from extracted .bin of RFMOD objects.

Requirements

UPK Explorer V2. 5. 6. 0 or higher.

Troubleshooting

Q: My RFMOD mod does not work or is crashing the game. What do I do?

A: Make sure the number of channels, sample rate, bit rate etc match the original sound file. Additionally, it appears the game does not like when sound effects are replaced, but music replacements work as expected.
