📋 About This Mod
Weapon gap happened because every time you crafted weapon it changed its scale to scale you choose and then changed spacing between parts, then again it changed it back to 100 overwriting it. I removed that line.
IT WILL NOT FIX PREVIOUSLY CRAFTED WEAPONS! WEAPONS BUILD WITH THE PATCH WILL RETAIN THEIR FIX.
Several parts still have weapon gap due to broken meshes or incorrect xml length. If you see part like that, or levitating/clipping pommel/other part. Post it in the comment and I will fix it once I get to the cause.
Load at the end of load order as other mods could overwrite xml edits otherwise. My edits do not alter blade data, so no damage changes, no flags or materials changed.
New meshes for: aserai_noble_blade_5/Engraved Kaskara , aserai_blade_19/Iron Scimitar Blade.
XML edits for: aserai_noble_blade_6/Decorated Scimitar Blade, aserai_noble_blade_4/Decorated Scimitar Blade
If you want to be able to craft weapons as small as 10% of original size up to 300% original size instead of vanilla 90-110% I offer other mod.
Now comes with uniform scaling aka bigger parts. If turned on, blade will no longer grow in length only but in width too.
Vanilla + Longer Crafting Parts
Longer and Bigger Crafting Parts with Uniform scaling
WITH UNIFORM SCALLING, ALREADY CRAFTED WEAPONS WILL ALSO BECOME UNIFORM. ALL WEAPONS WILL REVERT ONCE THE SETTING IS TURNED OFF. REQUIRES GAME RESTART ON CHANGE
Weapon gap fix removes a crafting line that caused weapon parts to misalign, fixing gaps for newly crafted weapons. It includes XML edits and new meshes for specific blades. With 644 endorsements and 58,079 downloads, it's a popular fix for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, but won't repair previously crafted weapons.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved fix with 644 endorsements and 58,079 downloads.
- Simple and effective: removes a single line to fix a common crafting issue.
- Includes optional uniform scaling for more customization, with a toggle.
⚠️ Cons
- Does not fix previously crafted weapons; only newly crafted ones after installation.
- Some parts still have weapon gap due to broken meshes or incorrect XML lengths, requiring manual fixes.
- Requires game restart when toggling uniform scaling, and load order must be managed carefully.
For Bannerlord players who craft weapons and are annoyed by misaligned parts. It's a must-have for smithing enthusiasts who want visually consistent weapons. Skip if you don't craft or are fine with the vanilla gap.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Place this mod at the very end of your load order to ensure its XML edits aren't overwritten.
- If you use the uniform scaling option, remember to restart the game after toggling it.
- Test crafting a new weapon after installation to see the fix; old weapons won't change.
