📋 About This Mod

Aesthetic mod that enhances the cultural diversity of the people in the Calradian world within the game. Taking inspiration from historically accurate real-world cultures to give each faction's people unique and distinct physical appearance. It also fixes many bugs from the vanilla game, that causes bald females and super skinny wanderers.

This mod is save friendly, it can be installed or removed any time in your campaign with no problems.

COMPATIBILITY

Probably not compatible with Random bodies as they modify the same values. My mod does have body randomization too including height variation.

INSTALL

Place the CultureDiversityMod folder inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules.

FEATURES

  • []Empire now looks distinctly Byzantine and Mediterranean, moving away from the generic vanilla look. Soldiers are cleanly groomed with short hair in the Roman/Byzantine tradition.[/]

[]Sturgians are based on the Kievan Rus, a Slavic people mixed with Norse influence. They feature long beards and a mix of short and long hair, less trimmed and tidy than the Empire's.[/]

[]Nords are modeled on the Vikings of the Viking Age, long beards, long hair and braids, fair skin and blue eyes.[/]

[]Vlandians are modeled on central-western Europeans, with a knightly medieval look, a mix of neatly groomed mustaches, beards, and hair ranging from short to long or tied back. [/]

[]Battanians are based on the Celts, redheads, blondes and brunettes with fair skin, long hair and long beards, plus long mustaches for the elite.[/]

[]Aserai are Arabic in appearance, but their Mamluks carry European features, reflecting their historical origin as European slave-soldiers.[/]

[]Khuzait are based on the Mongols, with Asiatic steppe features. Their nobles tend to have slightly lighter features but remain predominantly Asiatic.[/]

[]In general, all factions' physical appearances were reworked. This mod also increases randomization for height, fatness and muscle for everyone, so everybody has a different body.

All people from all factions including notables and wanderers will look less ugly, as TaleWorlds used exaggerated values in their bodyproperties. Your soldiers will no longer look like trolls.

No more bald female wanderers, notables or lords, female characters no longer randomly spawn bald, while bald men are kept for realism (period-accurate).

No more skeletal faction leaders, wanderers and notables!! They all have normal body types now.

NEW CIVILIAN & NOTABLE CLOTHING OVERHAUL

Villagers, townsfolk, wanderers and notables now

✨ Key Features

Enhances cultural diversity of people in the Calradian world
Draws inspiration from historically accurate real-world cultures
Gives each faction's people unique and distinct physical appearances

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Makes each faction's people look genuinely distinct, so you can tell a Vlandian from a Khuzait at a glance
  • Historical inspiration adds a layer of authenticity that vanilla just doesn't have
  • With 27k downloads and 442 endorsements, it's clearly a well-loved mod in the community

⚠️ Cons

  • It's purely cosmetic, so if you're looking for gameplay changes, this won't add any
  • Since it alters character appearances, it may conflict with other mods that change character models or textures
  • The mod's last update was in August 2026, so if the game patches after that, there's a risk of temporary incompatibility
🎯 Is This For You?
This is for players who are tired of seeing the same generic faces and outfits across all factions and want a more immersive, historically flavored world. It's also great for roleplayers and screenshot enthusiasts who care about visual detail. If you're a pure gameplay modder, this isn't for you.
