📋 About This Mod

The mod will apply hair, skin tone, and facial features according to the ethnic groups the factions are based on.

For example, you will no longer see Black Sturgians with bowl-cut hair or blonde Aserai. Aserai will now have darker skin; Sturgians will have Slavic and Scandinavian features; Vlandians will have Norman features; Battanians will have Celtic features; and the Khuzaits will have a consistent Mongolian aesthethic.

Since the Empire is theoretically formed by different ethnic groups, I only changed the hair and some beards of the lords to give everyone a consistent Roman aesthetic.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that certain lords who had extremely disproportionate faces were adjusted in a subtle way, since my goal is not to make everyone look like supermodels, but simply to make their faces as human as possible while keeping their original characteristics.

IMPORTANT: THIS MOD ONLY WORKS WITH A NEW GAME!

However, if you want to use it in your current save, you need to download the file "NPC CODES" and manually modify each lord by applying their code using "Detailed Character Creation."

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

Better NPCS - All NPCS redesigned overhauls the appearance of NPCs in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, applying hair, skin tone, and facial features that match the ethnic groups of each faction. It requires a new game or manual code application for existing saves. With 2,301 endorsements and 111,315 downloads, it's a popular cosmetic overhaul.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Huge community trust (2,301 endorsements and 111k downloads)
  • Adds authentic ethnic diversity to factions, making the world feel more immersive
  • Subtle face fixes improve realism without turning everyone into supermodels

⚠️ Cons

  • Requires a new game to work properly, which is a dealbreaker for many mid-playthrough players
  • No manual installation instructions provided, so you'll need to figure out mod manager or manual setup yourself
  • Existing save users must manually edit each lord using codes, which is tedious and time-consuming
🎯 Is This For You?
For Bannerlord players who care about visual authenticity and want factions to look like their real-world inspirations. If you're starting a fresh campaign and want a more immersive world, this is a must-have. Skip it if you're deep into a save and don't want to restart or manually edit every lord.
📦 Install:Easy· 5-10 minutes

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since the mod requires a new game, plan to start a fresh campaign to see the changes without hassle
  • If you're on an existing save, download the 'NPC CODES' file and use the Detailed Character Creation menu to paste each lord's code
  • Use a mod manager like Vortex to handle installation and updates, as manual placement can be error-prone
