The mod is currently in an open beta. This is not a full, stable release and almost certainly will contain bugs and other issues. I do not play Bannerlord singleplayer much anymore, so the beta is the best way to identify problems. A good number of them have already been addressed thanks to the people who have voiced them, of which I am very thankful for. I encourage anyone who is willing to take this into account to report bugs either here on nexus or on discord (preferably). My goal for now is to get the mod in a fully functional state, how it was four years ago more or less. There is no guarantee I will provide new content to the mod, but I have some plans set in place if I choose to do so -- we'll see.

Bannerlord Overhaul is a complete rework of all troop trees and most weapons and armor. The goal of this mod is to provide the player with more variety in gameplay while still remaining lore-friendly and balanced. You'll find many troop trees completely reworked with all new weapons and armor previously unused by vanilla. Not only are these troop trees reworked and balanced for each faction, but also provide historical reference to real-life warriors. Many hours were spent attempting to perfect each troop as if they were each a single project. Please enjoy and make your next play-through the most engaging Bannerlord experience you've ever had.

Troop Tree Summaries

Vlanida - A mixture of Western culture. Featuring deadly crossbowman, an archer tree, powerful cavalry, a reworked infantry tree, and 3 noble tier 7 lines.

Battania - Based loosely off of the Gallic tribes. They have a complete rework to fians to be less OP(although still extremely strong). They have a very deadly repertoire of barbarian soldiers and tactics, one of the more unique factions respectively.

Sturgia - Mostly based off of Norse background, with some Rus mixed in there. Sturgia's premise has been changed to heavy infantry, while still having excellent archer and noble cavalry trees. The mix of Varyag and Norse powers make them a very strong faction indeed.

The Empire - Based heavily off of the Roman and Byzantine empires. Featuring the most diverse trees of all the factions, the empire can pick apart their enemies however they so chose.

Khuzait - Mostly based off of many different Chinese dynasties - and a bit of turk here and there. Khuzait is armed to the teeth with their archers and cavalry. Also consists of powerful cavalry, strong missile units, heavy sword infantry, and a branched tier 7 noble tree.

Aserai - Inspired by Persian and Middle Eastern culture. Aserai comes fully equipped with strong archers and cavalry, while not being the weakest with their infantry. An excellent all around faction.

Mercenaries

The mercenary tree has been revamped to be a worthwhile option for military purposes. They have a wide variety of troops you won't see in other factions, along with the most variation of equipment to simulate true mercenary gear.

Individual Troop Summaries

Vlandian Ailadroddman

The Vlandian Ailadroddman is the best the west can offer with their missile technology. His repeating crossbow and medium armor is a force to be reckoned with.

Vlandian Pavise Champion

The Pavise Champion is a direct upgrade from the sharpshooter. Accompanied with better armor, sword, and skills; however, he has the same crossbow as the previous tier.

Vlandian Yeoman

With the skill in bows of other factions increasing, Vlandia has devloped their own take on the bow and arrow. The yeoman carries a strong longbow along with medium armor to compliment his style. Very good at taking out opponents from afar.

Vlandian Halbbruder

A heavily armored soldier with a devastating armament, though sluggish on the battlefield. The Halbbruder Wields only his trusty, yet versatile, Poleaxe. He is most effective as a second line unit on the frontlines.

Vlandian Knight Banneret

Vlandia's finest cavalry. Features heavy armor, an upgraded armament, better skills, and a vigorous Pureblood horse. The sound of the knight's steed strikes fear in all of Calradia

Vlandian Senior Marshal

Vlandia's leading general. Comprised of heavy armor, fast moving speed, francisca throwing axes, and a cleaver so sharp it can slice three Sturgian heads in one swing. The marshal has pride in his troops, and leads with dignity.

Vlandian Milanese Chevalier

Heavy Shock/Melee Cavalry. The Milanese chevalier focuses on extremely heavy armor and defense, while sacrificing mobility and outstanding offense.
