📋 About This Mod

Essentially, I wanted to create some more bandit variety within the game because, while the base bandits are fine, it felt like the idea of them being upgraded to culture specific troops was okay but limiting in creativity. So I decided, despite my lack of experience in any form of modding, to see if I can create bandit troops of my own. Each has their own unique tree (some loadouts will overlap with genders), and all of them lead up to tier 6 units. I want to thank the guys over in the ATC Troop Changer Mod discord for all their help - really could not have done this without them! Keep in mind that I am still working out the kinks in loadouts and balance, but it is doubtful that any mod like this would ever be considered balance in the first place.

Requirements: As far as I know, this mod does not require anything else. But it may be safe to just run it with the basic Harmony, Butterlib, etc.

Warsails Update:

AHOY THERE, YE LANDLUBBERS! A new update has arrived for ye old Bandit Variety mod users! After some experimentation, and many hours of just fooling around in Bannerlord, I have added the following:

-Bandit Variety Sea Raiders, with exception to mounted troops, are now Mariners

-Bandit Noble Sea Raiders can be found aboard Sea Raider fleets

-Bandit Variety Nobles spawn in their respective bandit parties, in case you are not running Fourberie (why aren't you btw?)

-The Peltast Line from the Refugee tree are now Mariners

-Added a new Mariner looter troop tree that utilize slings (BECAUSE WHERE BE THE STONES?!)

-15 more weapons that can be found in markets or used by Bandit Variety Bandits

-Adjusted Bandit Party sizes to be less...oppressive to say the least

I will be updating some more at a later time but for now, enjoy! MERRY CHRISTMAS, YE FILTHY ANIMALS!

Bandit Noble Troops:

For Forest Bandits: Forestkin/Glintor Youth: The borders of Battania have long been protected by its denizens and woodland folk. However, with declining populations from multiple offenses, the women of the woods saw value in teaching themselves how to fight alongside their husbands should the war come too close to home. Meanwhile, those loyal to Old Battania ventured out into the northern plains of Glintor to grow pack animals and mules. Not long after did they begin growing and breeding war horses and became fearsome riders themselves. Though they do not necessarily all hold the religion of the Old Gods, they sympathize with the Cultists when it comes to a common foe. The Forestkin are the female equivalent to the Battanian Fians but with heavier armor and custom axes and two handed swords. The Glintor Youth supplement both the Forest Bandit and Battania's lack of a good cavalry with heavy armor, noble mounts, and custom two handed polearms, one handed axes, and two handed axes.

For Mountain Bandits: Alpine Youth/Valley Foragers: One cannot always survive by dwelling in the mountain caves alone, but one also has to be brave enough to risk capture or death upon leaving their sacred refuge. The men and women of the mountains are a hardy folk with strong bodies and mind, and from their various encounters with southern caravans, Vlandian war parties, and imperial horsemen, they've learned more strategies to defend their hold. The Alpine Youth are a medium skirmisher line with custom one handed swords and javelins. Their engagement with Aserai warriors brought home the acceptance of their deadly throwing weapons. The Valley Foragers are a female heavy infantry line who use custom two handed polearms and one handed axes. May all those who charge their line suffer a sweeping death.

For Sea Raiders: Fledgling Warrior/Tundra Spearwoman: The lives of those brought over in the first wave to Calradia from the north were anything but peaceful. Fierce winds, tumultuous waters, pirates, Calradian natives, and the wildlife were enemies they faced on a daily basis. Those who could not adapt did not survive, but those who overcame these obstacles were hailed as true warriors. The Fledgling Warrior is a shock troop line with throwing axes and custom two handed Dane axes. Meanwhile the Tundra Spearwoman are a heavyinfantry line using the oars of their prison boats as the hafts for their custom pikes and also wielding two handed swords.

For Desert Bandits: Camel Shepherd/Camel Shepherdess: The Nahasa Desert is unforgiving but the Bedouins who resided there for over centuries learned to thrive. Camels were their livelihood - their lifeline and tools. What better way to dominate their home by the supremacy
