But not long after, during a crucial conversation with the priestess of Selûne, you find yourself facing someone menacing named Marcus. The priestess is furious, devastated by his betrayal… while you, the player, are left staring at the screen thinking:

“Marcus? Who the hell is Marcus?”

For many players, this is their very first encounter with him — an unknown face dropped into the middle of a dramatic twist. The emotional impact is lost, replaced with confusion.
