Volition Cabinet

This mod is a library now used/required by my other mods, streamlining their development, maintenance and eventual code upgrades (e.g.: for config files). This is especially important considering their number has grown significantly; up until now, I've been duplicating relevant helper code for them, which has become an ever-increasing liability. Note that, for practical purposes, it works as a distinct library/mod, unrelated to and separate from Focus Core.

Introducing this will hopefully make maintaining them much more easy and likely to be done when, for example, future API changes from SE/Larian occur.

Installation

• []Download the .zip file and install using BG3MM (recommended), or use Vortex.

  *One Vortex user reported that dependent mods need to be installed after Volition Cabinet is installed, however I do not use Vortex to confirm this.

BG3 Script Extender (you can easily install it with BG3MM through its Tools tab or by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+T while its window is focused)

Load order does not matter.

Mod Fixer is NOT bundled with this mod anymore as of Patch 7+.

Note to fellow Mod Authors:

This library is essentially a Focus Core fork, adapted for my personal modding needs after I created too many mods that had the same functions all over the place.

Please refrain from using this as a direct dependency for your mods. Volition Cabinet is ultimately personal code and is not designed to be a public codebase for external use as a direct dependency, even though I want to keep it as stable as possible for my own sake. However, if you find any segment of the code beneficial, feel free to adapt it for your needs. Just please note that in doing so, its maintenance becomes your responsibility, and that I encourage you to adopt the most permissive possible permissions for your mod if you choose to utilize this resource — or even otherwise, for that matter!
