📋 About This Mod

Various enhancements for The Blood of Lathander including: Morninglord's Radiance as a toggleable aura, ability to protect against the Shadow-Curse (Moonlantern in inventory), and uses either Strength or Spell modifier for attack rolls, and

This mod adds features that improve or fix aspects of The Blood of Lathander both visually and functionally.

Changes to the Original

The weapon is now a Morningstar instead of a Mace. For backwards compatibility, anyone wielding it will have proficiency.

Lathander's Light

  • []No longer applies its effects if the wielder is sneaking or invisible. The original effect has Combat() as a requirement, but this effect would sometimes apply regardless. This helps fix that

[]The original weapon has its light VFX on whether or not Lathander's Light is active. The weapon's light VFX now turn off if Lathander's Light is toggled off.

[]The Save DC used when applying the blind condition will either be 14 (default) or the wielder's Spell Save DC (whichever is higher).

Sunbeam

  • []Can now be recast like the normal Sunbeam.

[]Does not require or break concentration.

[]Limited to 5 turns instead of 10 and usable once per turn for balance. The effect ends early outside of combat.

New Features

Divine Acuity: +1 to attack rolls and spell save DC. This is the same feature that the Helldusk Gloves have, just a different name and different wording for the attack rolls in the description.

Morninglord's Radiance (Toggleable Passive): You and allies within 2m receive the Morninglord's Radiance condition which adds 1d4 Radiant damage to weapon attacks. This is the same one as the one received at Rosymorn Monastery.

Divine Weapon: If your Spellcasting Ability Modifier is higher than your Strength Modifier, it is used instead for attack rolls. Basically a much better Melee Caster.

Attacks made with this weapon deal additional bludgeoning damage equal to either your Strength or Spellcasting ability modifier to fiends and undead.

The calculation works the same as Finesse and also applies to weapon actions. For example:

[]Concussive Smash uses Manoeuvre Save DC when applying Dazed -- this action will use Spell Save DC instead if your Spellcasting Ability is higher than Strength. This is the same calculation made by the Deva's version of Concussive Smash.

[]Heartstopper also chooses between Manoeuvre Save DC and Spell Save DC, and it adds either the Strength modifier or Spellcasting ability modifier to its attack.

[]Tenacity (Interrupt): Uses either the Strength modifier or Spellcasting ability modifier for its damage.

[]Dawnburst Strike: On a critical hit or upon throwing this weapon, create a blast centered on the target. Enemies within 2m take 1d4/6/8/10/12 Radiant damage and may become blinded.
