Quothe Evolved

The murdered lie silent. The raven asks - will you be their voice?

Transforms the raven rewarded to you from He Who Was into a powerful Death Domain mini-companion who delivers judgment in the Raven Queen's name.

Special features are also added that enhance the existing Dire Raven abilities. Quothe also receives a unique version of Divine Intervention that changes Sunder the Heretical and Arm Thy Servant to be more Death Domain-friendly.

Quothe is no longer a familiar and bears resemblance to the Dire Raven that He Who Was is accompanied with. Pale white feathers but with glowing "speak with the dead" eyes, and it shares the same stack as Ranger's Companion instead of Find Familiar. When summoned by a Beast Master Ranger, it receives Prey's Scent.

Receiving The Spell

In vanilla, you get the spell to summon Quothe as a familiar by receiving the Raven Gloves from He Who Was as a reward for completing Punish the Wicked. Originally, I was going to change the gloves so that you just needed them in your inventory to receive the spell; however, I decided to give the player a different item and I replaced the spell granted by the Raven Gloves to Toll the Dead. The item is a feather that can be passed around in the party to have anyone summon Quothe (similar to Us and Scratch).

Completing Punish the Wicked by helping He Who Was is all you need to get the item.

New as of 1. 0. 4. 0: When completing the quest that grants the raven gloves, the person that completed the quest will be the one to receive Quothe's summoning feather instead of the host of the party.

If you add this mod after you've successfully completed the quest, you'll get the item right away.

Class and Progression

Quothe's class follows the same progression as a Death Domain Cleric except:

• []Uses Shadow Spell Slots instead of regular Spell Slots.

  []Shadow Spell Slots are granted in the same amount and frequency as Paladins, so by level 12, you'll have 4 level 1s, 3 level 2s, and 3 level 3s. If you can level up to 20, you get additional spells slots and 1 more Channel Divinity charge.

  []Only uses the Necrotic variants of Cleric spells.

  []Spells are always prepared (summon limitation).

  If you're noticing a pattern with this and Tara Evolved, you are correct. My intention was to make the opposite of Tara. Where she protects, Quothe just punishes and delivers justice.
