JWL Histories and Occupations for Patch 7

Patch 8 is just around the corner and here I am, STILL fixing things from Patch 7! Truly, the life of modding is one of hardship.

Anyways, here’s one of Jewels’ many wonderful mods for you—Histories and Occupations, a custom backgrounds mod now updated for Patch 7. This is pretty much a straight port, keeping the same functionality, icons, descriptions, and UUIDs of the original mod. However, I did end up making a few changes:

• []Rebuilt using the toolkit for mod.io compatibility (if Jewels wants)

  []Corrected spelling, punctuation, grammar errors

  []Secret Identity fully implemented, now provides Disguise Self spell as intended

  []Inspiration support added, linked to vanilla goals

• NEW for v1. 1: Patch available to replace ability score changes

🚨 This has been minimally playtested because I got tired of working on it, so please let me know if I broke something!! 🚨

All UUIDs and handles were retained where possible. Existing game saves and translation patches SHOULD still be functional.

⭐INSPIRATION⭐

Inspiration support is new for this mod, and I tried to use my best judgment in picking which vanilla backgrounds to inherit goals from.

Before anyone asks: no, I will not change these. Implementing Inspiration means I added over 1,100 goals to these backgrounds. The BF even wrote a script to automate updating the UUIDs/handles because of the bonkers amount of time it would have taken to do manually; without him, this addition honestly wouldn’t have even happened. If you’d like to edit the background goals yourself, take a look at this guide by the wonderful Bibsan.
