📋 About This Mod

A Fire-themed Barbarian Subclass that gains additional Fire damage, is buffed when it or its enemies are burning, and gets access to unique Fire-themed Class Actions (Fiery Cleave and Flame Release).

This is my take on a Fire-themed Barbarian Subclass. It's aimed at Burning yourself and your enemies to gain access to buffs. It also gains new abilities to help enable both Burn on yourself and others and can get particularly powerful late-game with a new Passive, "Unquenchable Flames". Obviously, this is a high-risk/high-reward playstyle as you will be both dealing and taking a lot of damage. If you don't think you'll be getting hit too often in a low-stakes fight, it might be a tactical choice to not use your Rage. Also, there will be a lot of fire effects so be ready for that!

The features of the Subclass are as follows:

Burning Rage (Ability):

This is the Subclass' version of Rage. It functions similarly except activating your Rage also Burns you for 5 turns.

Fiery Cleave (Ability):

This is similar to the regular Cleave weapon action except that it:

  • []Requires Rage

    []Has no cooldown

[]Leaves burn marks on the ground (applies Burn if walked over)

    []Burns any target it hits

  • Applies Burn to you

    Burning Arms (Passive):

While you are Burning, you deal an additional 1d4 Fire damage with your weapon and unarmed attacks.

    Everburning (Passive):

You gain Resistance to Fire damage.

    Level 6

    Flame Release (Ability):

Using a Bonus Action, you can breathe fire in a cone in front of you. This has a CON Saving Throw to do half damage.

    Scorching Sprint (Passive):

You gain 6m of Movement while Burning.

    Burnseeker (Passive):

You add your Strength Modifier to any Attack Rolls made against Burning targets.

    Level 10

    Hellborn (Passive):

You are now immune to Fire damage (replaces Everburning).

    Unquenchable Flames (Passive):

Your Fire damage ignores Resistance and Immunity, and now adds your Proficiency Bonus to its damage. This is easily the strongest thing the Subclass gets and can be as broken as you want. Just stack as much Fire damage as you can and all of it will get a +4 to Damage because of your Proficiency Bonus. This means Burning Arms, Burning DoT, Flame Release, Drakethroat Glaive's Buff, Helldusk Gloves, etc.
