Hey, soldier.

Did you recruit Karlach too late and miss your shot at romancing her at the tiefling party? Do you miss being able to start her romance before the party? This mod updates her romance requirements to make the timing much more flexible.

Starting Karlach's romance

In the vanilla game, Karlach has a pre-party romance scene where she wakes you up at night to talk. This scene is currently bugged and no longer triggers on an unmodded campaign (mods like No Romance Limit and Lesser Restoration unlock it, though!). And unfortunately, the scene is cancelled after the tiefling party.

This means that, as of Patch 6 or so, if you don't start Karlach's romance at the tiefling party, you are SOL without mods or console commands 🫠

I adjusted Karlach's romance requirements so that:

• []Her outside-the-party scene is restored[/]

  []The tiefling party is no longer the cutoff for starting her romance; Karlach can come wake you up even in Act 2. This means you have a chance with her if you recruited her too late and/or got rejected at the party. [/]

  []Her "cooling you down" scene can also happen in Act 2, anytime before her 2nd upgrade[/]

  Requirements for starting Karlach's romance:

  At the tiefling party:

  (I haven't modded these requirements; just noting them here for reference)

  • []20+ (Medium) approval or higher[/]

    []Not double-dating (i.e., no more than ONE other active romance)[/]

    Note: It's a common misconception that you need to upgrade Karlach's heart and/or choose flirty dialogue options to start her romance  (but it is a nice approval boost!). Approval and not double-dating is all it takes. This is true for the vanilla game and for this mod.

    Outside the party:

    To unlock the scene where Karlach wakes you up one night:

      []Must be before Karlach's second upgrade[/]
