📋 About This Mod

A config for Absolute's Laboratory. Serves as a comprehensive all-in-one to increase combat difficulty, assign classes and subclasses to NPCs, give specific tailored buffs to encounters, and adds new enemies throughout the world. Features

Overview

This is my personal config for Absolute's Laboratory by osirisofinternet. If you're familiar with Combat Extender and NPCs have Subclasses and Feats, think of this as a combination of the two, though made for my personal preferences and the mods I use. At a glance, the main features of this config are:

  • []General difficulty increase to offer a challenge even for experienced players.[/]

[]All humanoid NPCs are given a class and accompanying subclass, which include the full (sub)class features that the player would receive. A couple appropriate modded classes and subclasses are also given to some enemies.[/]

[]Randomized class/subclass spell lists for NPCs with dynamic support for spell mods, which is an in-built feature of Lab. This config also has specific support for mods like 5e Spells and Mystra's Spells to ensure that NPCs don't receive spells they wouldn't use well, such as non-combat spells.[/]

[]NPCs with classes receive feats and additional passives, mostly sourced from GraphicFade's series of class equipment mods, to further differentiate the classes and increase the difficulty. Boss fights are now incredibly challenging![/]

[]NPCs receive all racial passives that they should have, which are often missing in vanilla.[/]

[]Over 100 encounter-specific buffs (mostly giving thematic/appropriate passives) for NPCs and fights throughout the game to further add difficulty and uniqueness on top of the general buffs they receive.[/]

[]Specific support for additional encounters added by Many More Monsters, Valkrana's Undead Encounters, Features from DnD 5E Planescape, and Features from DnD 5E Spelljammer.[/]

[]New enemies are added to both existing encounters as well as new standalone encounters.[/]

[]Absolute's Laboratory allows you to modify the config in-game through MCM so that you can use it as a starting point to tailor it to your own personal preferences and mod list.[/]

How to Use

[]Make sure you have all the dependencies you plan on using - see the Dependencies section below.[/]

[]Import this mod in BG3MM like you would any other (the config is built into the .pak) and move it into your active load order. See the Mod Versions section below for which file to download. See the Compatibilities/Conflicts section for any notes on [/]

[]Load up a save. Once in-game, open MCM, go to Absolute's Laboratory, go to the Mutations tab, and under the Active Profiles drop-down, select the profile, which will be called "Cahoot (4 Party Config)(M)" or "Cahoot (5 Party Config)(M)", depending on which file you use. [/]

[*]Go to the Monster Lab tab and under the Profiles
