Baldur's Circus (Laugh Track Mod)

Ever thought Baldur's Gate needs more shitpost mods? Me neither, and yet here we are!

Mod Features

This mod will play a laugh track if you fail certain rolls outside of dialogue, namely lockpicking and disarming traps. It will play applause if you succeed. You will also get laughter for falling prone on grease or ice. Something extra special happens if you roll at Nat 1 (even in dialogue). A certain music file has also been replaced with a certain song. It will play for sure on two boss fights. According to the files it is also scripted to play at other times, but I do not know when these all are. You will 100% know it when you hear it LOL

The song has no lyrics and the audio is balanced with the rest of the game music (it won't blast your ears out). It is just an instrumental piece from another game. (If you recognize it, you get a cookie!)

Spoiler details of what the mod does for those who want them and don't like to be surprised:

• []Applause on successful disarm trap + lockpick

  []Laughter on failed disarm trap + lockpick

  []Laughter for falling prone on grease or ice

  []Clown makeup is applied to characters who fail with a nat 1. (In dialogue this is applied after the dialogue ends due to engine limitations.)

• Act 2 end boss's battle theme music replaced with Resident Evil Director's Cut DualShock OST - Mansion Basement. I have also heard it play in at least 2 other places, but according to the files there are still more.

  Installation

  Import into BG3MM or drop into your mods folder.

  Uninstallation

  Because the music file is an override, you must delete the pak/remove it from your mods folder. The other effects can be disabled, but the music can't. So even if you move it to inactive mods, the music will still play.
