📋 About This Mod
This is a collection of tweaks, mostly related to immersion and PnP accuracy, that I made for myself which grew large enough to become a releasable mod. Includes components for BG:EE, BG2:EE and IWD:EE.
I believe the mod is now stable enough to re-release on the Nexus.
The github version, which may (or may not) include more things in a less complete state, remains here.PnP/IWD-Style progression cap (no XP cap, max 30 levels in each class)
In 2nd Edition ADnD, level 30 is supposed to be the pinnacle of mortal achievement. This component enforces that. Different from the Tweaks Anthology component in that this one also removes the XP cap, so that multi/dual-class characters can achieve level 30 in all their classes.
HLAs accessible from level 21
Different from the Tweaks Anthology component in that this one sets HLAs to start from level 21 for all classes, whereas Tweaks Anthology delays them to 21 for those classes that would have otherwise gotten them earlier. This is relevant for single-class Rogues, who normally get their first HLA at level 24 and would thus miss out on three abilities when the above component is installed.
Berserker Enrage disables spellcasting
A straight nerf. Prevents Wizard spells, Priest spells, and magical innates. Allows non-magical abilities and item usage.
Minsc remains controllable while using his Berserk ability
A straight buff. The Berserk status effect (which normally makes Minsc uncontrollable) is removed, and the +2 to hit and damage bonus the Berserk status effect would normally grant is made a separate effect of the ability. Spellcasting is disabled, as with the Berserker component.
Roleplay-friendly berserk script for Minsc
In case a fully controllable and in-control Minsc seems out of character, this component gives Minsc an override script (that is, a script that takes precedence over his normal companion AI and works even with companion AI turned off) that simulates the original berserking behavior. Upon using the Berserk ability, Minsc will automatically attack the nearest enemy with a melee weapon, switching to one if using ranged. He can be given orders, but he'll shortly ignore them and resume mindlessly attacking the nearest enemy he sees. However, he won't attack friendlies, and you have enough control to have him use instant actions - such as chugging a potion - but he won't have the focus for anything that takes time to cast/activate.
Make sleep end upon taking damage
Sleeping targets wake up when they're damaged, as one would expect. Sleep is still very powerful, but not an auto-win/loss.
Make unconsciousness NOT end upon taking damage
Unconscious targets stay unconscious despite being damaged. Mostly a fix for IWD:EE, in which, according to the spell descriptions, this should already be the case (but isn't).
PnP Luck
Makes Luck an Alteration spell and increases its duration to 3 turns.
PnP/IWD-style Tenser's Transformation
Adds +1 APR for casters who don't already get extra attacks from their class.
PnP Skull Trap
Skull Trap does 2d4 + (1d4*level) damage, only affects living creatures, and has a casting time of 4 instead of 3. The changes are taken
from AD&D 2nd Edition source material, and make the spell more distinct from (and maybe not as clearly always superior to) Fireball.
PnP-like Fireshields
In PnP (and IWD2), a warm shield protects you from the cold and vice versa, which is what makes intuitive sense to me. The shields also make you somewhat more vulnerable to the element they're made of, which also makes sense. The way it's done in PnP can't, as far as I know, be implemented in the Infinity Engine (a warm shield means you take no damage at all from cold-based spells on a successful save, and half damage on a failed one, and double damage from fire spells, but on a failed save only), but to somewhat approximate that, the fireshields also penalize resistance to their own element by -50%.
Cure Spells Won't Affect Undead And Constructs
According to PnP rules (and common sense, IMO), Cure spells should not affect the
