Warlock Multiclass (Sorlock) Bug Fix and Workaround

Warlock multiclassing is (Patch#1, Aug26) bugged.  Warlocks don't have the ability to cast from or sacrifice their warlock spell slots over regular ones when casting spells from their non-Warlock spellbook or using special abilities like creating sorcery points.

The bug forcing Archfey Warlocks to upcast was fixed in Patch#1.

With this mod:

Warlocks now have the ability to convert their Warlock spellslots into regular spellslots of the same level as a bonus action.  This ability is unlocked when you have both a Warlock and non-Warlock spellcasting ability.  The tooltip does not display the Warlock Spellslot cost, but it does require one.

Paladin Warlock Multiclass Bug Fix:

Paladins were incorrectly not being flagged as having access to level 1 spells upon hitting their level 2.  This prevents them from benefiting from the Warlock Multiclass Bug Fix and also causes some vanilla bugged behaviour when interacting with the Barbarian's Bolstering Magic.  Installing this second .pak file fixes this issue.  Installing both files is necessary.  This second file will conflict with any mod that also alters a Paladin's level 2 class progression.  Put this file lower in the load order if you want to use both mods.  Your level 2 Paladin level up will outwardly be the same as vanilla, this mod only changes a background flag (to what it should be) that is used for interacting with specific abilities.

INSTALLATION:

Recommend installing via the BG3 Mod Manager.  Do not ask me to troubleshoot Vortex for you, I don't use it.

Unzip .pak file into your (by default) "C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods" folder or equivalent.

Run or Refresh BG3 Mod Manager.

Drag Mod from "Inactive" (right side) to "Active" (left side)

First time running the mod:  Place at bottom of load order for maximum compatibility with other mods.

Click on the "Export" button or go to "File->Export to Game"

REQUIRES - "Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Fixer".  The mod fixer doesn't need to be installed via the manager, just place the .pak file in the Mod folder and it will work without extra steps.  Previous versions of the Mod Fixer, "Full Release Mod Fixer" or "Patch 3 Mod Fixer", are completely identical files so you can stick with them if you have them already.

Will throw up an error ("Unable to create a working story") when creating a new game or loading a game from before this mod was installed.  This error can be ignored, if you have the above Mod Fixer installed.  Installing "ImprovedUI", will remove the error message.

If installed mid-campaign, it will cause the Time Played (the number displayed on your savegame) to reset.  Same with every other mod that requires the above Mod Fixer.
