Warlock Invocation Overhaul

DESCRIPTION

Warlock Invocation Overhaul replaces eleven of the base game's weaker Eldritch Invocations with new combat, movement, defensive, and Eldritch Blast options.

This started from a simple annoyance: a Warlock with only two spell slots should not have to spend one of them on an invocation, especially on spells you can get normally. The replacement invocations either improve Eldritch Blast, grant a permanent benefit, or provide an ability that does not consume a spell slot.

The rest of the Warlock class is unchanged. Patrons, Pact Boons, Pact Magic, spell progression, Eldritch Blast scaling, and the number of invocation choices all work normally.

These invocations are stronger than the base game options by design. You still have to spend an invocation choice on each one, so you cannot have every benefit at once.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Using Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Manager:

1. Download the main file.

2. Import the downloaded archive or included .pak into BG3 Mod Manager.

3. Move Warlock Invocation Overhaul to your active mods.

4. Export the load order to the game.

The mod can be added to an existing save. Respec your Warlock to access the new invocation choices.

Before uninstalling from an existing save, it is recommended that you respec any affected Warlocks and remove their custom invocations.

MAIN FEATURES

LEVEL 2

Embracing Blast: Eldritch Blast can pull its target up to 3m toward you.

Chaining Blast: Eldritch Blast jumps to up to two additional enemies within 6m of the target.

Otherworldly Stride: Increases your movement speed by 1. 5m.

Patron's Grace: Grants resistance to Fire damage.

LEVEL 5

Eldritch Spear: Increases the range of Eldritch Blast by half.

Explosive Blast: Eldritch Blast deals 1d10 Force damage to other creatures within 2m of the target.

Soul Harvester: Once per combat, killing an enemy after spending your Bonus Action restores it.

Unnatural Strength: Raises your Strength to 16 if it is lower. If it is already 16 or higher, it increases by 1 instead.

LEVEL 7

Hellfire Escape: Once per combat, use a Bonus Action to teleport up to 18m and erupt in hellfire on landing, dealing 2d8 Fire damage within 3m.

LEVEL 9

Ascendant Step: Your patron grants you the permanent ability to fly.

Eldritch Sanctuary: Cast Eldritch Sanctuary once per Long Rest without expending a spell slot. Eldritch Sanctuary creates a 3m Globe of Invulnerability for 3 turns and requires Concentration.

Embracing Blast, Chaining Blast, and Explosive Blast are toggleable. You can
