Unique Stat Bonus for Companions

Description

In BG3 all companions have generic stat lines of their base class. This means they are great for customisation but dont have much unique to them regarding attributes. The goal of this mod is to give them all a little extra flavour in the stats department.

This mod does this by giving each companion a unique passive tied to their character that is always active. Each passive has some attribute increases based on backstory, personality, etc, and includes a named passive and description based on the character. Not all companions get the same amount of bonuses due to these factors, which does make some companions have a bigger bonus than others. Ill explain the bonuses below;

Astarion – +1 DEX and CHA

Gale – +2 INT and +1 CON

Halsin – +2 WIS and +1 STR

Jaheira – +1 DEX, CON, WIS and CHA

Karlach – +1 STR and +2 CON

Lae’zel – +1 STR and DEX

Minsc – +2 STR, +1 DEX and CON

Minthara – +1 STR and CHA

Shadowheart – +1 DEX, CON and WIS

Wyll – +1 DEX and CHA

They range from +2 to +4. This is based entirely on the history of the characters. Jaheira and Minsc are very accomplished adventurers that have lost a bit of their luster but still should be the top dogs so they get +4. Halsin and Gale are both very accomplished before game start and Karlach spent 10 years fighting in Avernus and to me that is worth a bit more so these three get +3. The rest are relatively less experienced so they only get +2. Shadowheart is the exception and she gets +3 simply because shes the only one who doesnt benefit from the Mirror of Loss on good playthroughs.

This is also a sort of companion mod to my other mod https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/23117, which does a similar thing by giving a passive but the passive it gives is a unique trait. To me that version is the more mechanically interesting, but they both work together.

Dark Urge is tough because it doesn't feel right to me to give certain bonuses to the character with a vague backstory and is meant to be built however you like. So ive made a couple of side mods that give Durge either +1 Strength, Constitution and Charisma based on being a Bhaalspawn and Sorcerer canonically, or just a straight +1 to everything if you want the Origin bonus and build them however you like while being a little OP.

If you want one of the Durge versions only download that file since they contain the base file.

Obviously this mod is just for fun and flavour and makes the game easier. Not by a large margin but still easier.
