📋 About This Mod
As distasteful as Hillsfar's policies might be, you can hardly expect us to deal with the baby-slaying Keepers. I've heard that they plight their troth with succubi, eat the brains of elves, and worship gods so black they make Moander seem nice. Their names are feared as far south as my native land. And the council who rules them, the Zhentarim, are twice as dark as the Keepers.
— Akabar Bel Akash
The Zhentarim of BG3 have been given a complete overhaul in several aspects in order to make them standout and appear more of a threat to the player when they somehow manage to get themselves involved in their affairs.
WHAT'S NEW?
-
[]New Visuals: All of the Zhents at the hideout under Waukeen's Rest and at the Guildhall in Act 3 have been given new visual appearances and Zhent Outfits (with the appropiate color scheme) to go with their role in the crew. This also includes Roah Moonglow, her guards and even Oskar, the kidnapped painter.[/]
-
[]Class Variety and Buffs: Most of the Zhents at the hideout only utilized ranged weapons and had little variety in terms of builds and skills in the vanilla version, With this mod they come with different weapon sets, skills and even passives. Brem is now a Warlock with access to skills from that class, Garias is now a proper fighter who can make use of attacks that consume Superiority Dies and Jarg, who finally went from a piss-poor ranger with no ranger spells to make use of (despite having spell slots) to a proper ranger with new gear and spells to use against you. As of now, the Zhents at the Guild Hall have been given improved weapons and might receive new ability kits in the near future after enough testing.[/]
- []Extra NPC's and Combatants: Zarys is now protected by 2 skilled Zhent fighters at the hideout who, will now also alert the Zhent in the back of the hideout in the event of an attack, so plan your moves very carefully when inside the Zhent base. [/]
-
[]Zhent Ranks: I've also given them titles that show their rank and role in the organization. While it doesn't have an impact on gameplay, i thought it would be a nice addition for worldbuilding. The ranks consist of: Fang (level 1), Wolf (level 2), Viper (level 3) and Ardragon (level 4) [/]
-
[]This is the first official release of the mod and it will receive more updates for balancing tweaks, bug fixing or to add new additions to the Zhent faction.[/]
- []The new equipment kits for the Zhentarim will only appear when you start a new game.[/]
