📋 About This Mod

If you downloaded previous version with localization, make sure to delete the file (not just replace it in MM), otherwise the old version might overwrite the updates.

UPDATE 2. 38 - Final:

Finally fixed monk animation delays.

Now, at level 5 you'll get toggleable passive, which switches animations - from standard animations to monk animations.

With the passive off, the character will use normal animations for attacks & stunnig strikes. With it on, the character will use monk animations for everything instead.

Original mod's author used normal animations for the class, but monk animations for stunning strikes, which caused the delay / non-playing animations problem, since monk-specific animation work only if the character uses monk animations for everything as well. So adding the passive is the only way to both have a cake and eat it.

With this update, I consider the mod fully fixed. At least, I couldn't find any other bugs or issues, so there's that.

UPDATE 2. 35:

Fixed Force Crush not working properly;

Temp HP on damage should work now;

Deflect Missliles scales & works properly now as well;

Full-assed (as much as I could) spell-replacement. You can replace Jedi (base class) spells one certain levels, and the subclass spells on other levels.  It's not the optiman way, but it's the only way - or at least the only way that I could figure out - due to the way the subclasses are implemented. Tech details below

Basically, the main class - Jedi - has a separate spell list, and each subclass has a separate spell list as well.

When you use "replace spell" option, you choose a spell you've learned (from a specific spell list) and choose another spell you want it to be replaced with (from another specific spell list). Since Jedi class gets to choose spells before getting subclasses, properly fixing this without changing the mod isn't exactly possible. So I'll leave it as is for now.

The only issue I still plan on tackling (sometime, maybe) is re-enabling monk animation for the stunning strike, but without delays. No promise on that, though.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Revives an abandoned classic – good on Aeharnt for keeping it alive
  • UI compatibility is a big deal – no broken menus is a win
  • Small but active community (10 endorsements, 557 downloads) – you're not alone

⚠️ Cons

  • Only 10 endorsements – might be rough around the edges
  • Last updated July 2026 – could break with future patches
🎯 Is This For You?
For Star Wars fans who want to play a Jedi in Baldur's Gate 3 and missed the original mod. If you're a completionist who wants to try every class, this is a niche pick. Skip if you need polished, well-documented mods – this one's a labor of love, not a AAA release.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since it's a class mod, make sure you check the mod's page for any required dependencies – the description doesn't mention any, but always read the comments for troubleshooting.
  • If you're using a mod manager, let it handle load order – but if you're manual, place the .pak file in the Mods folder and ensure it's active in the in-game mod manager.
  • Test the class on a new character first – existing saves might not pick up the class properly.
