📋 About This Mod
A lot of players accidentally start dating Gale at the tiefling party because of some potentially confusing dialog options. I thought it would be fun to tweak the conversation a little to help keep things platonic. Instead of downloading the mod, you can also just use the description below as a guide for what not to do. But where's the fun in that ;)
Talking about belly rubs 🐈
Original:
Node 64 ("Do you like having your belly rubbed?") is the only one that ends the conversation and flags you as dating, while Nodes 90 and 114 can go either way.
1. Added three responses to the "Do you like having your belly rubbed?" line so that you can keep flirting (and get the "Dating" flag) or backpedal and keep things platonic
2. Also added two dialogue options to this conversation. A new flirty one:
And a platonic option:
"Can I consider you a friend?"
When Gale asks if he can "count you among that number," choosing "That depends. What do you like about me?" also tends to trip people up. I removed the dating flag from this option: if you're already dating when this conversation happens, nothing will change. If you're not dating yet, it stays platonic.
Installation
This mod overrides the following file:
\Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Mods\GustavDev\Story\DialogsBinary\Camp\Camp_Relationship_Dialogs\CAMP_GoblinHuntTieflingCelebration_CRD_Gale3.lsf
It will conflict with any other mods that do the same.
This mod is safe to install or remove mid-playthrough. Any dating flags set/not set by this mod will remain when uninstalled.
