The Spirit Beast Tamer Mod turns Baldur's Gate 3 into a creature collector! A mod heavily based on and inspired by Pokemon.

-Adds the Beast Tamer class to the game with three subclasses: Adventurer, Competitor, and Researcher

-Spawns Spirit Beasts throughout the game. There are many ways to acquire them but most often you will have to catch them in the wild. There are 61 different Spirit Beasts currently able to be used.

-Spirit Beasts can be transformed using certain items, or by other methods.

-New equipment has been added that specifically supports the new class.

This mod is pretty big and complicated - while I've tested it as much as I can, consider this a Beta Test and please let me know if anything goes wrong or is not user friendly.

How the Beast Tamer Class Works

Summoning, Withdrawing, and Resummoning

Summons for the Beast Tamer work a bit differently than other summons in Baldur's Gate 3. There is no cooldown or Spell Slot cost to summoning them. However, you have a special resource called "Bench Slots" that you use each time you summon a new Spirit Beast for the day.

As the name implies, you can withdraw a Spirit Beast you summoned and keep it on your "bench" to send out later. You can Resummon a benched Spirit Beast without using up a bench slot, but it will keep the same HP and Power Points (their Spellcasting resource) it had when it was withdrawn.

-So for example, you'd cast "Summon Palurog" to send out your first summon, using up a Bench Slot.

-Then, you'd cast "Withdraw Spirit Beast" on the summoned Palurog to withdraw it to your bench.

-"Summon Palurog" will be greyed out, but you'll have access to a temporary spell "Resummon Palurog", which you can use to send it out again.

It sounds complicated, but you can think of it as returning your summons to their "Spirit Ball" and sending them out again, with a limit to how many "Spirit Balls" you can use per day.

There is also a limit to how many Spirit Beasts you can have active at once. At first, this limit is 1. Later on, it becomes 2. This is represented by your "Active Creature Points"Catching Spirit Beasts
