📋 About This Mod
This is my first time ever making a mod, and I am editing it as I learn more information. Currently no custom visuals or anything, as this was meant to be a simple mod and just use things that were already in the game (I just really wanted to make a lightning focused warlock, I was sick of everything being blood and fire and such). Please feel free to take a look at it, and I'm open to suggestions!
This mod adds a new warlock patron (subclass): The Speed Force. Although the theme is inspired by comic books, the subclass is very much meant to offer a lightning and action-focused subclass for the warlock.
The following abilities are part of the subclass:
Level 1 - Speedster
Your connection to the speed force gives you an additional 3m of movement whenever you have one or more lightning charges.
Exactly as it sounds
Level 1 - Fast Reflexes
You gain your proficiency bonus to initiative, and gain one lightning charge at the beginning of combat.
Just some small buffs to help the lightning and speed aspects be relevant to normal gameplay
Level 6 - Many people are fast - you're faster.
Your increased speed gives you an edge in combat. Gain an additional bonus action each turn.
Action Economy gets broken anyway, just enjoy it.
Level 6 - One with the Speed Force
Merging with the Speed Force grants you protection from lightning damage and its effects.
Lightning resistance + immunity to thematic status effects as well
Level 10 - Speed Force Conduit
The Speed Force has chosen you as the ultimate conduit for its power, making your mastery of lightning spells second to none.
Basically spell sniper but only for lightning.
Level 10 - Fastest Warlock Alive
Your speed increases further as you learn more about the Speed Force, granting you an additional action each turn.
Action surge: no longer just for fighters! (but it does stack with fighters because...gotta go fast)
Level 0 Jolt, lightning lure, Shocking Grasp
Level 1 Longstrider, Gust of Wind
Level 2 Protection from Missiles, Blur
Level 3 Call Lightning, Haste, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Arrow
Level 4 Freedom of Movement, Otiluke's Resilient Sphere
Level 5 Chain Lightning, Heal
