Are they friendly? No, but boy are they tall! Role Play as a Snow Elf, tallest of the Elf races, and most disliked, aside from the Drow.
Snow Elf (I recommend using Variable Height mod to make character taller)
Frigid: Disadvantage to Persuasion checks; Resistant to Cold
Tall: Ranged Weapons ignore low ground rules; 1d4 attack bonus with Reach weapons
Interracial Hatred: +1d4 damage vs Drow; other Elves do +1d4 damage vs you!
Snow Sight: Reduced Darkvision range; immune to generic Blindness.
Bone Artisan: can turn bones into Bone Rings. Use a bone, a mortar, and a knife.
