Small Character Creation Eagle

A very small and crude mod, that shrinks the large eagle statue in character creation and level up screens. Alternative version removes it entirely.

This mod is for those of you who want to take screenshots of your BG3 characters to be used as character portraits in pen&paper RPG games like D&D 5th edition or as custom portraits in other PC RPGs, like Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous. The large eagle statue is featured quite prominently in the CC/level up screens, perhaps too prominently. Personally, I felt that the eagle was in the way for these kinds of screenshots, so I decided to make a simple mod that removes that eyesore.

This is a very crude mod. The main version features only the eagle 3D model, DEC_Druids_Statue_Eagle_A. GR2, shrunken to 30% size. The alternative version contains only a blank file with the same name, so the model is removed entirely.

Do not play the game with this mod installed, as the eagle statue is also featured in the Druid Grove, and those statues suffer the same fate as the CC screen eagle.

Installation

Extract the RAR file to steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data (for Steam).

Uninstallation

Delete the DEC_Druids_Statue_Eagle_A. GR2 at Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Generated\Public\Shared\Assets\Decoration\Druids\DEC_Druids_Statue_ABC\Resources.

If you do not have any other loose files in the Generated folders, then you can delete all empty folders in Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Generated\

Custom Backdrops for Character Creation and Level Up

I have also created a more complex mod that allows you to add any custom backdrop to character creation and level up screens. You can add a greenscreen, or any other color screen. You can even add any JPG image of your choosing. Check out that mod here.
