📋 About This Mod
Have you ever dreamed of throwing enemies or using them as improvised weapons, only to be held back by strength limitations until much later in the game? This mod makes it possible by slightly buffing original Strength scaling — from
I have always found it strange how a "thrower" build pretty much always meant throwing weapons. The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear the word in this type of games is usually some kind of wrestler, not a ninja with shurikens. And the original game didn’t exactly let you do that.
The original game uses the formula "0. 2⋅STR² kg" to calculate the strength needed to lift most human-sized enemies. While this seems fine at first, it becomes pretty clear that you need at least 20 Strength to do that. Which either forces you to roleplay and build your character in a very specific way to get the aforementioned strength, or abuse strength potions.
Neither of those options sits well with me, so I turned to mods — and was shocked to realize that there were none that scratched that itch of mine, except for a mod that lets you throw virtually anything. But that one seemed rather too overpowered.
Which leads us to this mod creation.
By slightly increasing the value in the formula, you can finally use this strategy reliably without breaking the game.
The new formula is "0. 33⋅STR² kg", meaning that now:
-
[]At 16 Strength, you should be able to lift 84 kg / 187 lb, which is more than enough to throw most medium-sized enemies (75-80 kg / 165-176 lb).
[
]At 17 Strength, you should be able to lift 95 kg / 209 lb, letting you throw bulkier characters, such as Karlach. - At 18 Strength, you should be able to lift 106 kg / 233 lb, letting you throw Dragonborns, for example.Note: At Strength level 15, you won’t be able to lift most things, which makes it worthwhile to invest just a bit more in Strength.
That essentially means that you can start using the throw mechanic on enemies as soon as the game begins but will still need to increase Strength at least once to get it to 18 for the bulkier enemies. This makes the investment more worthwhile, while not making it too broken or completely useless.

The mod shouldn’t affect any damage numbers, except in cases where you're throwing heavier enemies — but even then, the difference should be negligible.
Carry weight, throw distance, and damage rolls themselves should also remain unaffected.
The same goes for the Mighty Impel action, as it works based on a creature's size, not their weight.
The mod should be
