Rest Easy

This is an attempt to make short resting of more or less equal value across classes. Instead of some classes being able to refresh themselves completely (monk and warlock) while others run out of their only cool thing to do after a couple of fights (barbarians), all classes should now perform better at the top of the day and be somewhat less effective at the the end, but a short rest will always restore at least something.

All Classes

• []All classes receive 3 Healing charges. Each charge can be spent to restore 1/4 of their max hitpoints. So if you are reduced to 0, you can't get back to full without help.

  []Healing charges are spent automatically when short resting, or can be used through a ritual.

  []Players get an ability to short rest as many times as they want. Just ignore it if you don't want to use it.

  Monks

  • []Ki is now a daily resource.

    []Gain a Wizard-like Ki restoration ritual that restores 1/2 the Monk's maximum ki four times a day.

    []This ability is used automatically when you short rest.

    Warlocks

    • []Warlock spell slots are now a daily resource.

      []Gain a Wizard-like ritual to restore 1 warlock spell slot. They can use this ritual up to twice the number of warlock spell slots they have available.

      []This ability is used automatically when short resting, as well as at the start and conclusion of combat.

    Barbarians
    • []If the Barbarian is completely out of Rage charges, they will regain one when short resting or when combat starts.

      Sorcerers

      • []If the Sorcerer has fewer than 3 sorcery points AND they are completely out of both level 1 and 2 spell slots, they regenerate up to 3 sorcery points.

        Wizards

        • []If the Wizard has fewer than 2 arcane charges AND they are completely out of both level 1 and 2 spell slots, they regenerate up to 2 arcane charges.
