📋 About This Mod
Gives barbarians a passive toggle for reckless attack at lvl 2.
This does edit the progression.lsx file for only barbarian lvl 2. As long as another mod doesn't edit that specifically, it should be compatible... I think.
Should be able to download like any other mod. It works for me when I import it using bg3mm.
What's the point of this mod?
-
[]I wanted to learn how to start modding and this was a very easy first project (Still took me a lot longer than it should have)
[
]Dual Wielding Advantage Crit builds.
-
[] Relying on the passive means you miss out on an extra dice roll if your first attack hits.
[
] I thought clicking the skill every turn was tedious, especially when it breaks dual wielding and I have to click again for my offhand.[] Now you can toggle the passive on, right click and forget.
Yes, the toggle means you can abuse it by turning it off before you end your turn....but just don't? or do it's your game play how you want, idc.
If this is a problem for you I'd hate to see how you use shopping carts and turn signals.
Toggle also lets you have adv on melee attack spells like inflict wounds and shocking grasp. I see this as a feature since you could already achieve this with the normal reckless attack, but it would cost you an action by requiring a hit. You would need to use surge, haste, quicken spell (sorc) etc.
It makes sense you should be able to attack recklessly with a melee spell the same as you could a sword. (Better for unarmed too)
Other than that it does the exact same thing, because the code is the exact same. No ranged attacks, spells, etc.
The build that caused me to create this mod revolves around:
-
[]Dual wielding 4 attacks/turn = 8 chances to crit with advantage. (33. 6% 1/20 crit) = chances to get 1 crit in 4 attacks = (56. 9% 1/19 crit)
[]Barb lvl 2 for Advantage
[]Rogue lvl 3 for +bonus & Sneak Atk
[]Fighter lvl 3 for -1 crit, action surge, dual fighting style
[]Final Lvls: 3 barb, 6 fighter, 3 rogue or 2 Barb 5 Fighter, 5 rogue.
