Ranger's Preparation

Compatibility notes:

This should be compatible with other mods, including those that modify ranger, and those that rely on the existing ranger spell lists.

This also includes a fix for a Vanilla game issue that could prevent level-up if there are missing spells on a spell list

What about other classes?

Wizards (Ritual Preparation changes only)

Advanced Usage:

On first load, the mod will create a settings file at:

%localappdata%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Script Extender\RangersPreparation.json

The following behaviors can be changed:

enabled: (default: true)

You can change this to "false" to disable the mod without uninstalling it.

rituals_always_prepared: (default: true)

Rituals are always prepared and do not count against your prepared spell count. You can change this to "false" to change that.

with_scroll_learning: (default: false)

You can set this to true to also be able to scribe scrolls as a ranger (Warning: Unbalanced)

disable_preparation_requirements (default: false)

You can set this to true to disable the requirement of preparing spells (Warning: QoL vs potential balance tradeoff)

Settings changes only take effect when first launching the game.

Changing `rituals_always_prepared` setting mid-playthrough may result in strange behavior.

A respec may be required after changing settings to have any changes to known spells and their preparation status be reflected.
