Ranger Starting Armor Tweaks

Part of the Baldur's Gate 3 Modathon - July 2025.

A simple mod that removes the sleeves from the Ranger's starting armor, and optionally adjusts the color of the starting boots to match their outfit better. There's also a version that adds a cloak to their starting equipment, because cloaks are cool.

Known Issues/Quirks:

• []This is a replacer mod, meaning that all instances of the leather armor that Rangers start with will also be sleeveless.

  []I did not change the icon or loot model for the armor, so those will most likely still have sleeves.

  []Because the boots that Rangers start with are shared by several other classes, the color changes will apply to those classes as well. You can still dye the boots after you get them, so I don't think this is a huge deal, but if you prefer the blue color of the original boots, you don't have to download this part of the tweak.

  []Similarly, the cloak version involved adjusting the cloak's initial colors, so if you get the same cloak from anywhere else, it will be green and brown. You can still dye it, though.

• There was a small issue where the F/FS versions of the Ranger armor had this ugly yellow color under the arms, instead of the matching green that was on the M/MS versions. I adjusted the preset so that all versions now have a nice matching green fabric.

  Please report any other issues!

  Compatibility:

  This mod may conflict with any other mod that adjusts the Ranger class.

  Mods used in example images:

  Astralities' hair colors were used for the hair.

  Otherwise, all mods used in the example images are private mods and not available for public download. Everything else is vanilla.
